Recipe: Triple Chocolate Caramel Blondies

If the title of this blog post wasn't enough to grab your attention, perhaps the pictures will be?

After a busy weekend, I was craving a sweet treat to share with friends and family. Something to enjoy with a nice cup of tea, but something a little bit naughty (hey, I earned it!)

I don't feel I need to say too much about these, just trust me, make them and then you can thank me later.

Honestly, they're so incredibly yummy, completely unhealthy and yet totally worth the calories.
A delicious white chocolate brownie aka a blondie packed full of milk chocolate chips and then swirled with caramel/dulce le leche and nutella.

Do you need any more convincing?

Ingredients
100g white chocolate
125g unsalted butter
175g light brown sugar
3 eggs, beaten
100g plain flour
50g self raising flour
100g milk chocolate chips
3 tbsp nutella
3 tbsp caramel (or homemade dulce le leche)

Method

1. Grease and line a 20x20 tin and preheat oven to 170c

2. Heat the white chocolate and butter in a heatproof bowl until melted and smooth. Allow to cool slightly

3. Add the sugar and beaten eggs and beat together (by hand) until well combined

4. Sift both flours into the mixture and fold together until all the flour is mixed in

5. Add the chocolate chips and give a final stir

6. Transfer the mixture to the tin and spread out evenly. Plop the tbsps of nutella and dulce le leche on top of the mixture and swirl in creating a somewhat marble effect.

7. Bake for 35 minutes

8. Allow to cool in tin before transferring to a wire rack and cutting into squares (size your choice, but I made 12)
